We’re excited to begin our Autumn 1 learning journey with the fascinating topic of Ancient Greece. Here’s an overview of what we’ll be exploring this half term.

English
We will be reading Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan. This engaging text will inspire us to write our own quest narratives and develop our skills in creating clear and informative information texts.

Maths
Our maths learning will focus on: place value, addition and subtraction, and multiplication and division

History
Our history work focusses on Ancient Greece. We’ll explore Greek life, culture, and achievements, and discover how their ideas continue to shape the world we live in today.

Science
In science, we will be studying light—investigating how light travels, how shadows are formed, and how we see objects around us.

RE
This half term in RE, we will explore Christianity and reflect on the question: “How do Christians show their belief that Jesus is God incarnate?”
