We’re excited to begin our Autumn 2 learning journey with the fascinating topic of Ancient Greece. Here’s an overview of what we’ll be exploring this half term.
English
We will be reading 'Into the Volcano' by Jess Butterworth. This engaging text will inspire us to write our own newspaper reports and develop our skills in creating clear and informative information texts.
Maths
Our maths learning will focus on: fractions and converting units.
Geography
Our geography work focusses on volcanoes and earthquakes. We’ll explore the Ring of Fire, how earthquakes are formed and the parts of a volcano.
Science
In science, we will be studying living things and their habitats — discovering the 4 types of plants, how to use classification keys, and look at the life of Carl Linnaeus.
RE
This half term in RE, we will explore Islam and reflect on the question: “How does Tawhid create a sense of belonging to the Muslim community?”

PE:
This term PE will take place on Tuesday, children will need to come into school wearing their PE kit with trainers.
Forest School:
Forest School will occur on Wednesday afternoons. Please ensure the children are dressed appropriately for the weather and bring sensible shoes/ wellies.
