Children in year 5 are members of Starling Class. They are taught by Miss Pratt and supported in their learning by Mrs Lang and Mrs Miller.
Our topic for Autumn 1 is 'The Slave Trade'.
In our English lessons, we will be reading 'Freedom' by Catherine Johnson.
In maths we will be learning about: place value and addition and subtraction.
In science we will be studying materials and changes in materials.

PE:
This half term, we will be doing PE on Tuesday afternoons. Children will need to come to school wearing their PE kits.
Forest Schools:
Forest Schools will occur on Thursday afternoons. Please ensure the children are dressed appropriately for the weather and bring sensible shoes/ wellies.
